ABOUT

mission statement

at mini champs athletics our goal is To inspire and empower young athletes by providing high-quality, accessible competitive experiences that develop skills, character, sportsmanship and a lifelong love of sports.  Sports offer youth athletes a powerful opportunity to challenge themselves and discover what they’re capable of.

The Mini Champs Youth Classic was inspired by founder and owner, TARA Chiesa. “Coach Chiesa” believes in the power of sport and competition as an essential building block for young athletes to grow and develop their character.

Coach Chiesa is no stranger to all sports — she grew up playing every sport under the sun, starting with baseball at the age of 4. She quickly realized sports would be an important part of her life. Coach Chiesa is a Physical Education teacher and varsity Track & Field coach at Canon-McMillan School District.
